When Steve and I got married we joked around about what our kids would look like and have to deal with. Like what Steve termed, "butt chins", independent spirits, and ear infections. It was a well know fact that both Steve and I were the ear infection kings and queens of our families (and we had simi-large families). I was even pronounced deaf because of my infections and had to get tubes (thank you modern medicine for giving me back my hearing).
So, it was no surprise to us when nolan got his first, second, third, and so on ear infections. And today it was no surprise that not only nolan had an ear infection but jane also (nolan has one ear infected while both of Jane's are infected). Both kids have been dealing with crazy colds, and like good mini-me's those colds went straight to their ears.
Also, like good mini-me's they both react differently to being sick. N doesn't stop...period. unless, he has a fever, then he slows down, which is his father through and through. Me on the other hand, I want comfort, cuddling (this is the only time I crave this. Most, days I'm hands off). I want to stay in and just weather the "storm" in as much comfort as possible. This is Jane. I wonder if these sick day habits will stay, be traded or level out between the two kids but for now please pray that the new medicine (the first one that we got for Jane on Monday she had a reaction to) works, and the kids get better soon, and mom can get a good nights sleep.
